What an RV inspection in Arizona should cover
Start with the roof. Sun cooks sealant and lap sealant fails quietly, so a moisture meter reading beats a visual glance every time. Ask about delamination, soft spots and the age of the roof coating. Then the chassis and fluids: engine oil analysis, transmission and coolant, plus generator hours and load test. Tires matter here, and sidewall date codes tell you more than tread depth. A written report with photos should land in your inbox, not just a verbal summary in the driveway. Anything less and you are buying a surprise. Water intrusion is the other one. Arizona is dry, but an RV that sat through a monsoon season or came in from another state can hide rot under the slide floor.
Certification levels and who to call
NRVIA inspectors come in two levels, and the difference is worth knowing. Level I covers the basics, Level II goes deeper into systems and structure. Of the inspectors listed, 8 are NRVIA certified and 14 offer mobile service, which saves you a trip to a shop. Holt Brothers Mobile Certified RV Services and ACE RV both carry 5.0 ratings with NRVIA and mobile service. Help My RV Repairs has 486 reviews, the largest sample in the state. ACE RV, Rowley White RV and APR RV Body Paint Lifetime Roofing RV Repair all list report and roof among their features.
Book before the deposit is final
The best money you spend is the inspection you schedule before the deposit is nonrefundable. I have paid for two pre-purchase inspections and walked away from one rig because the report showed water damage the seller never mentioned. That is the whole point: you want a stranger with a moisture meter and a flashlight to tell you the truth. Never use the seller's inspector, even if the seller offers to split the cost. In Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Surprise, Peoria, Yuma, Lake Havasu City and Sierra Vista, mobile inspectors can meet you at the seller's location. Get the report in writing and read it before you sign.

Questions people ask
How many RV inspectors are listed in Arizona?
There are 25 inspectors in the directory, with an average rating of 4.6. Eight are NRVIA certified and 14 offer mobile service, so you can often have the rig checked where it sits.
Which cities have inspectors nearby?
The listing covers Mesa, Surprise, Yuma, Peoria, Lake Havasu City, Phoenix, Tucson and Sierra Vista. Mobile inspectors travel to the seller or storage lot, which helps when the rig is not near a shop.
What should a written report include?
Look for photos of the roof, moisture meter readings, tire date codes, generator hours and a fluid analysis summary. The report should list defects plainly. Ask for it in writing before the deposit becomes final.
Should I use the seller's inspector?
No. Hire someone independent, even if the seller offers to split the cost. The point is a neutral opinion on the roof, moisture, chassis and generator, not a favor to the person selling the rig.
